IELTS Preparation Course, 5 September to 26 October 2017, Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday, 7pm to 9pm
International English Language Testing System is a British standardised test to measure the English level. It covers all skills : reading, writing, speaking & listening. The band system is from 0 to 9. Band 5 is usually accepted by most universities.

Who is the course for ?

  • This course is for non-native speakers wishing to migrate, study or work abroad, where English is used as a language of communication.
  • It uses a nine-band scale to clearly identify levels of proficiency, from non-user (band score 1) through to expert (band score 9).
  • Each country has its own IELTS requirements.

What are the objectives for the level ?

  • The main objective is to achieve the band that is required by the country.

By the end of the course you will be able to :

  • Use grammar in the correct context
  • Speak on various topics with increased confidence
  • Listen and understand long conversations, extracting important aspects
  • Successfully analyse texts and summarise important content
  • Give a written description on any topic and write a formal essay

How long is the course ?

  • 45 hours
  • Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday (7-9pm)

Teaching and Learning Methods :

  • All four skills (speaking, reading, listening & writing) are practiced in detail according to Cambridge English standards
  • The main focus is on speaking where students are engaged in activities and pairwork according to the syllabus
  • Debates that involve logical thought process
  • Roleplay
  • Presentation of short talks
